30 Weeks

At my Dr. apt this week the Dr. was please with my measurements and my weight. My glucola was 111 so I do not have gestational diabetes and I am not anemic! YAY! Now my blood pressure on the other hand is causing some issues, it was up a little this week 139/86 which is right about where my baseline blood pressure was before I was pregnant but they are still monitoring it. The Dr. decided that we would go ahead and induce at 38wks, so at my next apt (July 23rd) we will be setting the date for Miss Olivia's arrival!! YAY!

Now this means that I only really have 8 weeks left to get ready for her!  eekk!!! :) I have a lot of work to do in the next 8 wks to get her bedding all ready. That's really all I have left to do besides clean the house really good... hmmm wonder if I can talk my favorite cleaning lady (my older sister) into coming down one day (or maybe two) and cleaning the house really good! ;)

Fourth of July I made a couple new bibs for Olivia and I am working on some headbands from what is left of the t-shirts I used for the bibs, I will post pictures of the headbands soon. Here are the bibs I finished last week.
The back of this bib is the same pink fuzzy material as the I heart mom bib I posted a few weeks ago.

How far along? 30 Weeks (10 weeks to go!! well technically 8)
Total weight gain/loss:  -6 lbs, slowly but surely gaining back the almost 20lbs I lost at the beginning of the pregnancy

Best moment this week: being able to hear her heart beat on the prenatal monitor I got a while back
Miss Anything? being able to prop my feet up on the dashboard of our trucks when we are on long drives!
Movement: LOTS! She has started using my hip bone as a step
Food cravings: nothing really lately
Anything making you queasy or sick: nothing
Have you started to show yet: a little more each week finally
Gender: GIRL!!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! although lately tears seem to be ready to sprout at any minute.
Looking forward to: my week of vacation next week! :)

29 weeks!

If you are trying to do the math on my post title you will notice that I skipped ahead a week, the reason for this is because Olivia's due date was changed to Sept. 18th. I know it only changed by a week, I feel like it is getting super close!! On top of them changing her due date to the 18th, we also discussed the possibility of me being induced a week to two weeks early which then moves her due date to the beginning of Sept!!! Eeek that is coming quick!

The reason they are talking about inducing early is because my blood pressure has been borderline prehypertension and they have been watching it, last week it was 123/81 which is good they just want it lower for pregnant women. In the past it has been anywhere from 120/80 - 135/85 which is considered prehypertension so I risk getting preeclampsia. They are going to keep monitoring me and we will see how it goes from here :). At my Dr. apt last week I took a glucose test and so far I haven't heard back from the Dr. so I am assuming all is well there, YAY no gestational diabetes!

Since I am slowly starting to gain some weight, I am starting to fill out and actually look like I am pregnant! Jared took my first baby bump picture for me on Saturday...

When I went to the Dr. last week she scheduled a sonogram the day after my apt so we could make sure Olivia was growing properly and everything was well on the inside. My mother in law came with me to my sono so the sonographer was trying to get a good picture of Olivia for her. Olivia wasn't cooperating, she was facing my back and she had her arm blocking her face. The sonographer turned on the 3D ultra sound and between me pushing on her and the sonographer getting the angle just right we got her to move enough to see part of her pretty face! <3 So in love already!!!

Food cravings: milk
Anything making you queasy or sick: nothing

Looking forward to: working on Olivia's bedding and baby showers at the end of the month! :)

I have been working on knitting a blanket for Olivia (will post pictures of that once I have more done), during my down time from that I have sewn a couple of things for her.

I made a taggie blanket out of A&M material, I have lots more A&M material so you will see a few more projects for her out of this material :).
front of taggie blanket (it has part of a wipes package inside so it makes a crinkly noise)
 back of taggie blanket

I also made her a bib from an old t-shirt that doesn't fit me anymore, I have a ton of shirts that I will be converting to bibs in the next few weeks!

In other news, I have laid out a design plan for Olivia's bedding and started picking up fabric so Mom and I should be starting on this project soon! :)

Nursery theme/ideas

We have been working on ideas for the nursery, we know that we don't want Olivia's room to be super girly and we do want it to have a western theme. So I have found some bedding that I really like and it's really boy, so Mom and I are going to mimic this bedding and give it a girly twist.

Here is a picture of the original bedding I found...
Now to girly it up a bit, everywhere you see the cowboys on horses I am going to replace it with this fabric:

We are going to replace a lot of the dark brown with red and blue so it's not so dark looking, here are some other patterns I want to include somehow:

I have some rustic metals stars left over from my bathroom mirror project we are going to put on the wall above her crib. Here is an example of the stars from my bathroom mirror (ignore the big circle one in the middle):

Here are a few of the signs we have already gotten for her room, we just need to hang them up:

And here is the light switch cover and wall cover we got for her room:
(sorry not sure why this one is sideways).

We already have the wall plates up and a horseshoe rack hanging by the door:

That's all I have for now, as soon as we get more done I will post an update :).
